Scripture:
“You will keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on You, because he trusts in You.”
— Isaiah 26:3 (NKJV)
Points:
- Peace is not occasional—it can be continuous when our minds stay on God.
- God Himself keeps us in peace, not our effort.
- A “stayed” mind is fixed, anchored, and focused.
- Trust is the path that leads to stability.
- Perfect peace is a promise for those who rest in God.
Poem: Stayed on You
The storm may move across the hills.
The news may bring the rising waves.
But when I look, I look to you.
I set my thoughts where you remain.
And peace begins to hold me still.
The world will twist with every turn.
The voices call from every side.
But when my thoughts are anchored deep,
I find the calm beneath the wind.
I find the truth that does not shake.
I stay my mind where mercy lives.
I look where grace does not retreat.
You keep what I could not defend.
You hold the soul through every blow.
You draw the heart to safer ground.
Perfect peace is not far off.
It does not hide or tease the weak.
It waits for those who lean on you.
It grows where trust is placed each day.
It rises with your steady hand.
Today I set my thoughts on you.
Not on the fear or what may come.
You keep what I give back to you.
You hold me fast and pull me near.
You are my peace, both now and more.
Prayer:
Lord, keep my mind stayed on You. Let my thoughts rest in Your truth. Teach me to trust You more deeply so that I may walk in Your perfect peace today. Amen.
