APR. 10 – 1 PETER 4:1-2

4/10 1 Peter 4:1-2

So then, since Christ suffered physical pain, you must arm yourselves with the same attitude he had, and be ready to suffer, too. For if you have suffered physically for Christ, you have finished with sin.[a]2 You won’t spend the rest of your lives chasing your own desires, but you will be anxious to do the will of God. You have had enough in the past of the evil things that godless people enjoy—their immorality and lust, their feasting and drunkenness and wild parties, and their terrible worship of idols.

HE IS ALIVE – SPREAD THE WORD – HE IS ALIVE

Jesus came to Earth-to die in our place.
He lived our pain.
He knew our chaos and heartache.
Every rejection we suffer-He suffered too.

The world He created rejected Him.
His own people crucified Him.
Oh, the heartache and rejection He suffered.
Take our heartache, our pain and multiply by infinity.
Jesus took it all.

At His point of greatest rejection.
All His disciples left Him except John.
He was beaten and bruised for me.
Scourged by the Romans, rejected by the priests.
The people clamored for His crucifixion.
He did it for me.  He did it for you.

They mocked Him, they hurt Him.
They marched Him to the Cross.
Hell rejoiced-soon He would be dead.
The thief on the cross would soon be with Him in Heaven.
Christ died on that old, rugged Cross.  We are guilty.
Every sin He paid for, you and me He died for.

The babe born in Bethlehem.
Welcomed by choirs of angels.
Shepherds running to meet the new born.
Soon Wise Men from the East would honor him.
There was a sacred celebration at His arrival.
He performed miracles and preached amazing sermons that speak today.

Friday it all faded to black.
He was crucified, seemingly rejected by mankind.
He descended into Hell.
By the power of God, He defeated death and Easter morning arose from the dead.
Today He is seated at the right hand of God.
Interceding with the Father for us.

Jesus will save you.  He is looking for you right this minute.
Thank God He does.
