15. Fear Of The Lord Means Desiring God’s Presence

Psalm 25:14 — “The secret of the LORD is for those who fear Him.”

Psalm 27:4 — “One thing I have asked from the LORD… that I may dwell in the house of the LORD.”

James 4:8 — “Draw near to God and He will draw near to you.”

The fear of the Lord creates hunger for God Himself. Reverence moves beyond merely wanting blessings and begins longing for fellowship with Christ. A heart that fears God desires His presence above comfort, success, or recognition.

The greatest treasure of salvation is not heaven alone. It is Jesus Himself.

    • Reverence deepens fellowship with God.
    • Fear creates spiritual hunger.
    • God reveals Himself to reverent hearts.

    What this means:
    • God desires relationship with His people.
    • Fellowship with Christ satisfies the soul.
    • Reverence strengthens intimacy with God.
    • Spiritual hunger is evidence of life.

    Daily walk:
    • Spend daily quiet time with God.
    • Seek Christ before seeking answers.
    • Worship privately as well as publicly.
