Fear Of The Lord Means Living In Holiness

  1. Fear Of The Lord Means Living In Holiness

2 Corinthians 7:1 — “Perfecting holiness in the fear of God.”

1 Peter 1:15 — “Be holy yourselves also in all your behavior.”

Hebrews 12:14 — “Pursue… the sanctification without which no one will see the Lord.”

The fear of the Lord produces spiritual cleansing. A reverent believer desires to become more like Christ. Holy fear refuses to make peace with compromise. Salvation is not merely escaping judgment. It is becoming conformed to Jesus Christ.

• Reverence creates desire for purity.
• Holiness is evidence of spiritual life.
• Fear of God produces spiritual discipline.

What this means:
• God calls believers to maturity.
• Holiness is part of discipleship.
• Christ changes both heart and behavior.
• Reverence strengthens spiritual growth.

Daily walk:
• Examine your heart honestly before God.
• Pursue habits that strengthen holiness.
• Stay accountable to mature believers.
