Blessing Of The Fear Of The Lord: Obedience

24. Blessing Of The Fear Of The Lord: Obedience

Ecclesiastes 12:13 — “Fear God and keep His commandments.”

John 14:15 — “If you love Me, you will keep My commandments.”

The fear of the Lord transforms obedience from burden to privilege. Reverence teaches us that God’s commands are good, wise, and life-giving. The believer who fears God increasingly asks, “What pleases Christ?”

    • Reverence takes Scripture seriously.
    • Fear protects against rebellion.
    • Obedience reveals love for Christ.

What this does in the life of a Christ follower:

    • Strengthens daily faithfulness.
    • Produces spiritual consistency.
    • Deepens fellowship with Christ.

    How to develop this:

    • Read Scripture with a willing heart.
    • Practice immediate obedience.
    • View obedience as worship.

    Prayer:

Lord Jesus, make me quick to obey. Teach me to delight in Your commands and to follow You faithfully. Let obedience become an expression of my love for You. Amen.
