Blessing Of The Fear Of The Lord: Peace

19. Blessing Of The Fear Of The Lord: Peace

Proverbs 19:23 — “The fear of the LORD leads to life, So that one may sleep satisfied.”

Isaiah 26:3 — “You will keep him in perfect peace, Because he trusts in You.”

The fear of the Lord produces peace because it places life under God’s control. Those who fear God correctly stop fearing everything else excessively. Holy fear teaches the believer that Christ reigns over every circumstance. Reverence steadies the soul because it knows that nothing enters life without first passing through the hands of God.

    • Reverence calms the restless heart.
    • Fear of God removes lesser fears.
    • Trust in Christ produces peace.

What this does in the life of a Christ follower:

    • Reduces anxiety and worry.
    • Strengthens trust during uncertainty.
    • Produces emotional stability.

    How to develop this:

    • Give every concern to God in prayer.
    • Meditate on God’s sovereignty.
    • Trust Christ more than circumstances.

    Prayer:

Father, quiet my anxious heart. Teach me to fear You more than I fear circumstances. Help me trust Your wisdom, rest in Your sovereignty, and find peace in Your presence. Let Christ be my confidence in every storm. Amen.
