07.       Love That Disciplines

Hebrews 12:6
“For those whom the Lord loves He disciplines, and He scourges every son whom He receives.”

God’s love is not indulgent—it is transforming. He loves you too much to leave you unchanged. Discipline is not rejection; it is proof of relationship.

The hand that corrects is the hand that loves. God shapes you through correction so that you may share in His holiness.

  • Jesus disciplines to refine, not reject.
  • Love corrects for our good.
  • Growth comes through God’s shaping hand.

How to put this to work in my daily walk
Receive correction with humility. See discipline as love, not punishment. Let it lead you to deeper obedience.

How can I grow in my love for God
Submit to His work in your life. Love deepens when you trust His process.

Prayer
Father, thank You for loving me enough to correct me. Help me receive Your discipline with a willing heart.

Jesus, shape me into Your likeness. Let every correction draw me closer to You.
