04/10               RENOUNCE WORLDLY PASSIONS

“For the grace of God… instructs us to deny ungodliness and worldly desires.” (Titus 2:11–12)
Grace teaches us to say no. Worldly passions compete with Christ’s call, pulling the heart away from surrender. Denying them is not moral grit but grace-enabled holiness, shaping us into a people zealous for good deeds.

  • Grace empowers holiness.
  • Worldly desires weaken discipleship.
  • Jesus forms a purified people for Himself.

Poem – Freed Desires
Your grace teaches me
to refuse the pull
of lesser loves
that drain the soul.

You free my heart
from empty cravings,
filling it instead
with holy desire.

What I deny,
You replace with life,
and grace becomes
my strength.

Prayer
Lord, teach me to deny worldly passions. Strengthen my heart with grace and fill me with holy desires. Make my life reflect the purity and zeal of Christ.
