04/05  WALK BY THE SPIRIT

“But I say, walk by the Spirit, and you will not carry out the desire of the flesh.” (Galatians 5:16)
Self-denial requires divine power. The Spirit enables obedience where the flesh cannot. Walking by the Spirit means yielding to His prompting, depending on His strength, and trusting His guidance in every moment.

  • The Spirit empowers what self-effort cannot accomplish.
  • Yielding brings freedom.
  • The Spirit leads us into Christlikeness.

Poem – Spirit-Led
Your Spirit guides me
through hidden turns,
steadying my steps
when flesh grows loud.

In Your leading
there is freedom,
in Your presence
there is power.

I walk by Your breath,
trusting Your way,
finding strength
in Your nearness.

Prayer
Holy Spirit, lead me as I deny myself. Quiet the pull of the flesh and empower me to walk in obedience. Shape my desires and align my steps with Christ.
