04/03   LOSE YOUR LIFE TO FIND IT

“For whoever wants to save his life will lose it; but whoever loses his life for My sake will find it.” (Matthew 16:25)
The paradox of discipleship is gain through surrender. Holding tightly to our own way leads to loss; laying down our life for Christ leads to fullness. True life is hidden in Him, revealed as we release the self we are trying to preserve.

  • What we give up for Christ, we never truly lose.
  • Surrender is the gateway to abundance.
  • Life found in Jesus exceeds the life we cling to.

Poem – The Gained Life
I release my grip
on what I cannot keep,
trusting the life
You offer instead.

In losing, I gain,
in surrender, I rise,
carried by grace
into true living.

Your life becomes mine,
quiet but real,
a treasure found
in letting go.

Prayer
Lord, help me lay down my life so I may find Yours. Free me from clinging to what cannot satisfy. Let Your fullness replace my emptiness and Your purpose replace my striving.
