“Abide in Me, and I in you.” (John 15:4)
Abiding is remaining, resting, staying connected. Christ is the Vine and we are the branches—life flows only through union with Him. Abiding produces fruit, strength, and endurance. Everything essential comes from staying near the Savior.
- Abiding produces what effort cannot.
- Union with Christ is the source of spiritual life.
- The branch thrives only by the Vine’s life.
Poem – Staying Near
I remain with You,
not by duty but desire,
resting where Your life
flows freely.
Your presence nourishes me,
turning weakness into fruit,
shaping my days
with quiet strength.
Apart from You I wither,
but in You I flourish,
held, fed, and steady
by Your grace.
Prayer
Lord Jesus, draw me into deeper abiding. Let Your life flow through mine. Keep me near, nourish my heart, and bear Your fruit in me. Let my strength, joy, and endurance be rooted in You alone.
