03/13   DELIGHT YOURSELF IN THE LORD

“Delight yourself in the Lord; and He will give you the desires of your heart.” (Psalm 37:4)
Delight is worship with joy. It is the heart turning from lesser pleasures to the surpassing worth of knowing God. When God becomes our deepest treasure, He shapes our desires and fulfills them according to His perfect will.

  • Delight in God transforms desire.
  • Joy in Him produces obedience.
  • Christ is the soul’s highest pleasure.

Poem – Joy in You
My joy returns to You,
where it belongs,
rising from gratitude
and anchored in grace.

You reshape my desires,
lifting them upward,
away from shadows
into Your light.

Delight fills my heart,
simple and pure,
because You are enough
for every day.

Prayer
Lord, turn my delight toward You alone. Become my joy, my treasure, and my satisfaction. Shape my desires according to Your will, and fulfill them in ways that glorify Christ. Let joy deepen my walk with You.
