03/04 REST IN HIS SACRED STILLNESS

“Be still, and know that I am God.” (Psalm 46:10)
Stillness is not inactivity—it is surrender. God meets us when our striving stops and our soul yields. In the quiet we discover His sovereignty, His care, and His profound nearness. Stillness dismantles fear and rebuilds trust.

  • Stillness reveals what noise hides.
  • God is not found through striving but surrender.
  • Jesus calms the storm within before the storm around.

Poem – Quiet Before You
Your stillness covers me,
like calm over deep waters,
calling me to lay down
the hurry that blinds my soul.

In Your quiet presence,
my battles lose their power,
my fear loses its grip,
my heart learns its rest.

You meet me in silence,
not with distance but with mercy,
not with judgment but with peace,
not with shadow but with Yourself.

Prayer
Lord, teach me to be still. Quiet the storms within me and let me rest in Your sufficiency. In the silence, reveal Your greatness and restore my trust. Let stillness draw me deeper into the truth that You are God and You are near.
