02/21 – Minding Your Own Work

…and attend to your own business… (1 Thessalonians 4:11)

Paul calls believers to focus on their own responsibilities. Gossip, meddling, and distraction steal witness. Jesus Himself was consumed with His Father’s business, not with pointless chatter.
Exalting Christ means working faithfully where He has placed us. We glorify Him by minding what is ours, doing it well, and letting our lives point others to Him.

  • Jesus focused on His Father’s business.
  • Distraction weakens witness.
  • Responsibility honors Christ.
  • Faithfulness in small things exalts Jesus.

Prayer:
Lord Jesus, You lived with holy focus. Teach us to guard our time, energy, and attention. Keep us from meddling, and anchor us in what You have given us to do.
Holy Spirit, guide our priorities. Strengthen us to finish our work with diligence. Let Jesus be exalted in the faithfulness of our daily lives.

Poem — “Own Work”
Focus sharpens in Christ.
Tasks become holy.
Faithfulness shines bright.
Witness grows strong.
Jesus is seen.

Distraction falls away.
Idle talk loses grip.
Meddling dies quietly.
Obedience stands firm.
Christ is honored.

Responsibility matters.
Small things count.
Ordinary becomes sacred.
Work becomes worship.
Glory belongs to Him.
