02/18 – A Gentle Spirit

…let it be the hidden person of the heart, with the imperishable quality of a gentle and quiet spirit, which is precious in the sight of God. (1 Peter 3:4)

The beauty God values is not external but internal. A quiet spirit is not weakness but strength under control. Christ Himself was gentle and lowly. His Spirit forms that in us.
Exalting Jesus means our lives reflect His gentleness. Quietness in the heart is precious because it mirrors Him.

  • True beauty is Christlike character.
  • A quiet spirit reflects Jesus.
  • Gentleness is not weakness but Christ’s strength.
  • What God calls precious is what matters most.

Prayer:
Lord Jesus, form in us what the world cannot see. Make our hearts quiet, gentle, and full of You. Teach us to value what You call precious.
Holy Spirit, strip away pride and noise. Cultivate the beauty of Christ in our hearts. Let Jesus be seen in our gentleness.

Poem — “Precious in His Sight”
Noise fades in His light.
Pride breaks under His gaze.
Hearts bow low.
Spirits grow gentle.
Jesus is seen.

Strength hides in meekness.
Power bends in love.
Glory shines in quietness.
Faith shows in peace.
Christ is precious.

God delights in this.
Hearts shaped by Christ.
Spirits made new.
Lives exalting Him.
Beauty eternal.
