02/09 – Love That Excels More

But we urge you, brothers and sisters, to excel still more. (1 Thessalonians 4:10)

Paul’s plea is urgent—excel in love. Not just enough to get by, but more and more. Jesus is the reason. He did not love halfway; He loved to death.
Love that exalts Christ never rests content. It always asks, “How can I show Jesus more clearly today?” Love is not measured by yesterday’s obedience but by today’s surrender.

  • Love that stalls dishonors Christ.
  • Christ loved fully; His people must love continually.
  • Excelling in love keeps Jesus central.
  • Mediocrity never magnifies the cross.

Prayer:
Lord Jesus, keep us restless until we love more. Do not let us coast or settle. Stretch our hearts wide with Your own. Let the increase of love in us exalt You before all.
Holy Spirit, expand our capacity. Teach us to see opportunities we miss. Keep us pressing forward until the world tastes Christ in us.

Poem — “Still More”
Love presses further.
Grace stretches wider.
Mercy digs deeper.
Compassion rises higher.
Jesus is glorified.

Never enough for self.
Always more for Christ.
The cross demands increase.
The Spirit supplies power.
The heart learns again.

Excel in love today.
Excel in love tomorrow.
Excel in love always.
Christ has no limit.
Christ is our more.
