Philippians 1:6 (NASB)
“For I am confident of this very thing, that He who began a good work among you will complete it by the day of Christ Jesus.”
Devotional Thought:
Every new beginning God starts, He finishes. Gratitude rests in His perseverance when ours fails, His faithfulness when ours falters.
Three Comments:
- Gratitude trusts the God who begins and completes.
- Our confidence is not in our grip on Him but His grip on us.
- Gratitude looks ahead to the day of Christ with steady hope.
Poem – “He Will Finish”
The work began by grace,
The seed took root,
The growth was slow,
The hand was steady,
The end is sure.
Seasons rise and fall,
Storms shake the branch,
But promise holds firm,
The Gardener is faithful,
The harvest will come.
Gratitude rests in His care,
Faith leans on His word,
Hope waits for His day,
Peace trusts His timing,
Joy endures to the end.
Prayer:
Father, thank You that what You begin, You complete. Thank You that my life is the canvas of Your faithful hand.
Keep me steady in gratitude as I wait for the day of Christ. Finish Your good work in me, and let my life glorify Jesus until I see Him face to face.
