01/26 – A New Song in Heaven

Revelation 5:9 (NASB)
“And they sang a new song, saying, ‘Worthy are You to take the scroll and to break its seals; for You were slaughtered, and You purchased people for God with Your blood from every tribe, language, people, and nation.’”

Devotional Thought:
Heaven’s new beginning is a new song. Gratitude sings that Christ’s blood purchased us from every nation.

Three Comments:

  1. Gratitude worships the Lamb who was slain.
  2. His blood purchased a people for God.
  3. Gratitude joins heaven’s song even now.

Poem – “The Song of the Lamb”
The throne was filled with praise,
The scroll was taken,
The Lamb was worthy,
The blood had purchased,
The people were His.

The nations sang together,
The tribes were one,
The languages joined,
The voices rose,
The glory was His.

Gratitude sings the song,
Faith worships His name,
Hope joins the praise,
Peace rests in His reign,
Joy exalts the Lamb.

Prayer:
Lord Jesus, thank You that You are worthy to receive all worship. Thank You that by Your blood You purchased us for God.
Teach me to join the song of heaven even now. May gratitude make my life a foretaste of eternal worship.
