01/24 – A New Mercy for Failures

1 John 1:9 (NASB)
“If we confess our sins, He is faithful and righteous, so that He will forgive us our sins and cleanse us from all unrighteousness.”

Devotional Thought:
Confession brings cleansing. Gratitude rejoices that every failure can become a new beginning in Christ’s forgiveness.

Three Comments:

  1. Gratitude confesses sin quickly and fully.
  2. Forgiveness is certain because God is faithful.
  3. Gratitude rejoices in cleansing that restores fellowship.

Poem – “The Cleansing”
The sin was real,
The guilt was heavy,
But confession was made,
The mercy given,
The heart was clean.

The faithfulness sure,
The righteousness strong,
The cleansing complete,
The fellowship restored,
The joy alive.

Gratitude confesses quickly,
Faith trusts His word,
Hope rests in His promise,
Peace flows from His mercy,
Joy praises His grace.

Prayer:
Lord, thank You that if I confess my sins, You forgive and cleanse. Thank You that Your mercy makes all things new.
Teach me to live with a repentant heart and a grateful spirit. May gratitude remind me that every confession leads to new beginning.
