12/24 – The Peace of Christ

John 14:27 (NASB)
“Peace I leave you, My peace I give you; not as the world gives, do I give to you. Do not let your hearts be troubled, nor fearful.”

Devotional Thought:
The Child born in Bethlehem came to bring peace, not as the world gives, but as only He can. Gratitude rests in His promise that fear does not rule the believer’s heart.

Three Comments:

  1. Gratitude receives Christ’s peace as His lasting gift.
  2. His peace is not fragile, for it comes from His reign.
  3. Gratitude trusts His word more than our fears.

Poem – “Peace I Give You”
The world cannot give it,
The world cannot take it,
The peace of Christ remains,
The heart is calmed,
The fear is gone.

His peace is greater than storms,
His presence is stronger than fear,
His love steadies the soul,
His word secures the heart,
His gift is sure.

Gratitude rests in His peace,
Faith holds His promise,
Hope walks in His calm,
Joy sings in His gift,
Christ is enough.

Prayer:
Lord, thank You that the peace You give is not as the world gives. Thank You that fear does not rule where You reign.
Teach me to live daily in the gift of Your peace. May gratitude keep my heart from fear and fill my life with trust in You.
