11/26 – God’s Hope

Romans 15:13 (NASB)
“Now may the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, so that you will abound in hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.”

Devotional Thought:
Hope is not optimism but a Spirit-filled assurance. Gratitude rejoices that our hope is alive because God Himself is the God of hope.

Three Comments:

  1. Gratitude remembers that hope is rooted in God, not circumstances.
  2. The Spirit’s power makes hope abound.
  3. Gratitude receives joy and peace as companions of hope.

Poem – “The God of Hope”
Hope is not fragile wish,
It is grounded in God Himself,
Joy and peace flow in believing,
Faith rests in His promise,
The Spirit makes hope abound.

The future is not uncertain,
The present is held secure,
The God of hope is faithful,
His Word cannot fail,
His Spirit cannot lie.

Gratitude lives in hope,
Confidence grows in faith,
Peace reigns in the heart,
Joy sings in the soul,
Hope abounds forever.

Prayer:
God of hope, thank You that You fill me with joy and peace in believing. Thank You that hope overflows by the Spirit’s power.
Teach me to live today with gratitude for this living hope. May I abound in hope and share it with a weary world.
