2 Corinthians 12:9 (NASB)
“And He has said to me, ‘My grace is sufficient for you, for power is perfected in weakness.’ Most gladly, therefore, I will rather boast about my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ may dwell in me.”
Devotional Thought:
Grace is more than pardon—it is power. Gratitude grows when we see weakness not as failure but as the stage for Christ’s strength.
Three Comments:
- Gratitude confesses weakness and embraces grace.
- Grace is not scarce—it is sufficient for every need.
- Gratitude boasts in Christ’s strength, not self-sufficiency.
Poem – “Sufficient Grace”
Weakness is not the end,
Grace steps into the gap,
Power rests on surrender,
Strength is made perfect in need,
Christ dwells where I cannot.
The thorn does not destroy,
The trial does not define,
Grace sustains my heart,
Mercy holds my soul,
Love secures my path.
Gratitude boasts in Christ,
Faith clings to His promise,
Hope rests in His sufficiency,
Peace flows from His strength,
Joy sings in His grace.
Prayer:
Lord, thank You that Your grace is sufficient in my weakness. Thank You that Christ’s strength is perfected when I have none.
Help me to live today in gratitude for grace that sustains me. May I boast only in the power of Christ at work in me.
