11/21 – God’s Wisdom

James 1:5 (NASB)
“But if any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all generously and without reproach, and it will be given to him.”

Devotional Thought:
Wisdom is not found in human insight but in God’s generous gift. Gratitude grows when we remember that the Lord delights to give wisdom to those who ask.

Three Comments:

  1. Gratitude sees every decision as an invitation to seek God.
  2. Wisdom is never withheld from the humble heart.
  3. Gratitude honors the Giver more than the gift.

Poem – “The Generous Giver”
My thoughts falter in confusion,
But His wisdom is steady and sure,
He gives without scorn or hesitation,
His counsel guides the uncertain,
His word lights the path.

The world shouts with noise,
But His voice is calm and clear,
Truth flows like a river,
Understanding comes from above,
Discernment steadies the soul.

Gratitude bows before the Giver,
Wisdom is His delight to share,
I ask with a trusting heart,
I receive with an open spirit,
I walk with a guided step.

Prayer:
Lord, thank You for Your generous promise to give wisdom when I ask. Thank You that You never shame me for my need.
Teach me to live as one dependent on Your guidance. May gratitude mark every decision, knowing wisdom is Your gift.
