11/18 – God’s Strength

Isaiah 40:31 (NASB)
“Yet those who wait for the Lord
Will gain new strength;
They will mount up with wings like eagles,
They will run and not get tired,
They will walk and not become weary.”

Devotional Thought:
Our strength fails, but God’s never does. Gratitude deepens when we exchange weakness for His strength by waiting upon Him.

Three Comments:

  1. Gratitude remembers that weakness is not defeat but an opportunity for renewal.
  2. Waiting on God is not wasting time but receiving strength.
  3. Gratitude shifts our focus from exhaustion to expectation.

Poem – “Strength Renewed”
The body falters in weariness,
But God gives strength again,
Wings rise where weakness was,
Endurance grows in hope,
Renewal comes in waiting.

The eagle soars above storms,
The runner finds lasting energy,
The walker is steady and sure,
The journey is carried by grace,
The path is secured in Him.

Gratitude embraces the waiting,
Faith receives the renewal,
Hope rises in the waiting,
Peace steadies in the promise,
Strength belongs to God.

Prayer:
Lord, thank You that my weakness is met with Your strength. Thank You that waiting on You brings renewal.
Help me not to grow weary in my own power. May gratitude keep me resting in Your strength, rising with wings of faith.
