July 10: Under the Shadow of the Almighty

“He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.”
— Psalm 91:1 (NKJV)

5 Points:

  1. Security is found by staying close to God’s presence.
  2. The shadow of the Almighty covers with peace.
  3. To abide means to remain, not visit.
  4. God’s shelter is wide enough for every fear.
  5. Living under His shadow means living in rest.

Poem: Shadow of Strength

The sun burns harsh across the land.
The dust blinds the wandering eyes.
But your shadow bends soft and wide.
You pull cool peace over burning roads.
You stretch rest across my thirst.

The noon presses down on broken ground.
The fears crack the lips of hope.
But your wings pull close over the heat.
Your breath waters the weary soil.
Your arms shade the crumbling walls.

To dwell is to stay, not run.
To rest is to trust the unseen hands.
You build a home inside the storms.
You carve a table in the driest fields.
You call me to abide, not fear.

The evening leans into heavy skies.
The questions pile like darkening stones.
But your voice builds lighter walls.
Your shelter rises above the night.
Your mercy folds the shadows soft.

Today I hide beneath your wings.
Today I sit inside your rest.
You are the roof against my fear.
You are the shadow against my doubt.
You are the dwelling of my heart.
