“After saying this, He spit on the ground, made some mud with the saliva, and put it on the man’s eyes. ‘Go,’ He told him, ‘wash in the Pool of Siloam.’ So the man went and washed, and came home seeing.”

SEEING
A blind man stood in darkness,
Knowing only the silence of the night,
Until Jesus knelt before him,
Taking dust and making clay,
And placing it upon his eyes.
“Go and wash,” He said,
And the man obeyed in faith,
Water met the dust of the earth,
Light met eyes once dim,
And a new world was born.
The work of God was revealed,
Not in words but in power,
A testimony for the doubting,
A sign for those who would see,
That Jesus was the Light of the world.
Still, He calls the blind to see,
Still, He opens the eyes of the lost,
For those who trust in His name,
Will walk no more in darkness,
But will have the light of life.
