05/05          Matthew 8:16-17 TRUST IN HIM

“When evening came, many who were demon-possessed were brought to Him, and He drove out the spirits with a word and healed all the sick. This was to fulfill what was spoken through the prophet Isaiah: ‘He took up our infirmities and bore our diseases.'”

  1. Jesus’ healing ministry fulfilled Old Testament prophecy.
  2. Healing is part of Christ’s redemptive work.
  3. Deliverance and healing are interconnected in Jesus’ ministry.
  4. Jesus heals all who come to Him in faith.
  5. The authority of Jesus’ word is sufficient for healing.

TRUST IN HIM

The evening fell, yet the crowds still came,
The broken, the burdened, the lost,
And with a word, the sickness fled,
With a touch, the chains fell away,
For Jesus bore their pain.

He carried the sorrow of the afflicted,
Took upon Himself the weight of sin,
What was written came to pass,
That He would take our infirmities,
And bear our diseases.

Not one was turned away,
Not one left without hope,
For His mercy knows no boundary,
And His love has no limit,
To all who come in faith.

Even now, His power remains,
His hands still reach the weary,
His word still speaks to the broken,
And those who trust in Him,
Will find healing in His name.
