19. Fear Of The Lord Means Waiting Upon God
Psalm 27:14 — “Wait for the LORD.”
Isaiah 40:31 — “Yet those who wait for the LORD will gain new strength.”
Lamentations 3:25 — “The LORD is good to those who wait for Him.”
The fear of the Lord teaches patience. Reverence trusts God’s timing even when answers delay. Flesh demands immediate results, but holy fear rests in God’s wisdom and sovereignty.
Jesus never rushed ahead of the Father’s will. Reverence waits because it trusts the character of God.
• Reverence trusts God’s timing.
• Waiting develops spiritual maturity.
• Fear of God strengthens endurance.
What this means:
• God’s delays are not abandonment.
• Patience protects from foolish decisions.
• Trust grows during waiting seasons.
• Reverence produces perseverance.

• Pray patiently without quitting.
• Resist forcing circumstances.
• Trust God’s timing each day.
