11/30 – God’s Glory

Revelation 21:23 (NASB)
“And the city has no need of the sun or of the moon to shine on it, for the glory of God has illuminated it, and its lamp is the Lamb.”

Devotional Thought:
The story of gratitude ends in glory. One day we will see the light of God’s presence and the Lamb Himself as the lamp. Gratitude prepares us for eternity.

Three Comments:

  1. Gratitude anticipates the day when faith becomes sight.
  2. The Lamb is the lamp—Christ Himself is our light.
  3. Gratitude lives today in the hope of eternal glory.

Poem – “The Glory of the Lamb”
The sun will fade in His presence,
The moon will bow to His light,
The Lamb is the lamp eternal,
The city shines with His glory,
The saints rejoice forever.

No night will darken the streets,
No shadow will fall on the gates,
The radiance of God will fill all,
The presence of Christ will remain,
The light will never dim.

Gratitude longs for that day,
Faith waits for His coming,
Hope rests in His promise,
Joy sings of His glory,
Peace lives in His reign.

Prayer:
Lord, thank You that the end of all things is glory. Thank You that Christ will be the lamp of the feternal city.
Help me to live today with gratitude that looks forward to that day. May my heart be filled with longing for Your glory.
