2 Corinthians 1:20 (NASB)
“For as many as the promises of God are, in Him they are yes; therefore through Him also is our Amen to the glory of God through us.”
Devotional Thought:
Every promise God makes finds its fulfillment in Christ. Gratitude strengthens when we cling to His promises, knowing they are certain and true.
Three Comments:
- Gratitude rests in promises kept in Christ.
- His Word is unchanging, His promises unbroken.
- Gratitude says Amen to God’s yes.
Poem – “Yes in Christ”
Every word is faithful,
Every promise is sure,
Christ seals the covenant,
Grace fulfills the pledge,
Glory belongs to God.
Hope rests in His assurance,
Faith clings to His word,
The soul stands secure,
The spirit rejoices in truth,
The heart sings Amen.
Gratitude answers with faith,
The promise shapes my life,
The Word guides my path,
The Lord keeps His vow,
The glory is His forever.
Prayer:
Lord, thank You that every promise is yes in Christ. Thank You that Your Word never fails.
Help me to live in gratitude for the certainty of Your promises. May my life be a constant Amen to Your yes.
