11/27 – God’s Goodness

Psalm 34:8 (NASB)
“Taste and see that the Lord is good;
How blessed is the man who takes refuge in Him!”

Devotional Thought:
God’s goodness is not an idea but an experience. Gratitude awakens when we taste His kindness and take refuge in His care.

Three Comments:

  1. Gratitude grows from experiencing God, not merely knowing about Him.
  2. His goodness invites us to trust Him daily.
  3. Gratitude declares blessing in refuge.

Poem – “The Lord Is Good”
Goodness flows from His hand,
Mercy covers the soul,
Refuge is found in His presence,
Blessing rests on the trusting,
Joy springs from His care.

The world cannot compare,
The taste of His kindness is sweet,
The shelter of His love is safe,
The shadow of His wings is sure,
The heart rests in His goodness.

Gratitude testifies to His nature,
Faith proclaims His name,
Hope leans on His promise,
Peace rests in His love,
Joy sings of His goodness.

Prayer:
Lord, thank You for Your goodness that I can taste and see. Thank You that blessing is found in trusting You.
Help me to live today in gratitude for Your kindness. May my life testify to the goodness of the Lord.
