“I have been crucified with Christ; and it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me.” (Galatians 2:20)
Discipleship begins with death and continues through resurrection life. To be crucified with Christ means the self-life is dethroned, and Christ now rules from within. His life becomes our strength, our motive, and our identity. We deny ourselves because He now lives in us.
- Crucifixion with Christ destroys self-rule.
- His life replaces our weakness.
- Identity is now found in the living Christ.
Poem – The Life in Me
Your cross claims me,
ending the old life,
lifting me into
Your risen strength.
What once defined me
falls away in light,
as Your life rises
within my soul.
I live by faith
in the One who loves,
held, guided,
and renewed.
Prayer
Lord Jesus, let Your life rule in me. Crucify the old self and fill me with the power of Your resurrection. Let every step reflect that I no longer live, but Christ lives in me.
