“I affirm, brothers and sisters, by the boasting in you which I have in Christ Jesus our Lord, that I die daily.” (1 Corinthians 15:31)
Following Jesus begins with surrender. The self-life must be put aside so the Christ-life can be expressed. Dying daily is not self-harm but self-denial—refusing the old nature the right to rule. This death opens the way for resurrection life.

Poem – Daily Surrender
I lay down my self-will,
quiet and honest,
inviting Your life
to rise in me.
What I release, You redeem;
what I surrender, You shape,
turning weakness
into holy strength.
My cross is carried daily,
but so is Your grace,
lifting me into
Your life again.
Prayer
Lord, teach me to die daily. Strip away what competes with Your will and let Christ live through me. Make my surrender honest, willing, and joyful, and strengthen me to walk the path You walked.
