03/03 COME TO GOD IN PRAYER

“Draw near to God and He will draw near to you.” (James 4:8)
Prayer is the doorway into God’s nearness. It is not speech but surrender. It is not performance but dependence. We draw near because Christ opened the way, and we come boldly because grace has torn down the barriers. Prayer brings our weakness to His strength, our emptiness to His fullness.

  • Prayer is the soul leaning toward God.
  • Jesus is the reason we come boldly.
  • God always moves toward the heart that moves toward Him.

Poem – Nearness
Here I lift my voice,
thin and trembling,
yet You welcome me
into Your holy nearness.

My needs find Your mercy,
my fear finds Your peace,
my questions find Your wisdom,
my soul finds its home.

You draw close again,
not because I am strong
but because You are willing,
because Christ has opened the way.

Prayer
Lord, draw me close as I bow before You. Let my prayers rise in honesty, dependence, and confidence in Christ alone. Meet me in the quiet, steady me in Your presence, and let my nearness to You produce a life shaped by Your grace.
