03/02 DRAW NEAR THROUGH HIS WORD

“Man shall not live on bread alone, but on every word that proceeds out of the mouth of God.” (Matthew 4:4)
The Word is God’s voice made visible. Scripture is the meeting place where our heart listens and His heart speaks. We draw near not by emotion first but by revelation. When His Word enters, we are strengthened, corrected, nourished, and shaped into Christlikeness.

  • The Word brings God near even when feelings are far.
  • Scripture reveals Christ in clarity and power.
  • The Bible feeds what nothing else can satisfy.

Poem – The Bread That Lives
Your words steady my hunger,
drawing me from shallow places
into the depth of Your heart
where life begins again.

You speak and the world quiets,
and my fear bows down,
and hope rises like morning
over a weary soul.

Your truth fills my emptiness,
strong, simple, enduring,
reminding me You are near
in every written line.

Prayer
Father, let Your Word be my daily bread. Open my heart to receive what You say, and shape my steps by the truth You speak. Let Scripture draw me near, correct me, and strengthen me. Speak, Lord—Your servant is listening.
