02/27 – The Example of Paul

For you yourselves know how you ought to follow our example, because we did not act in an undisciplined way among you… but in labor and hardship we kept working night and day so that we would not be a burden to any of you. (2 Thessalonians 3:7–8)

Paul modeled hard work to avoid burdening others. His diligence pointed to Christ, who gave rather than took. Leaders exalt Jesus by serving, not exploiting.
Our work ethic reflects our Savior. He labored for our salvation. We labor to display His life.

  • Paul’s example pointed to Christ.
  • Leaders serve by working, not by burdening.
  • Work done in love exalts Jesus.
  • Labor reflects the cross that gave all.

Prayer:
Lord Jesus, thank You for Paul’s example. Teach us to live so that others see Christ in our diligence. Guard us from burdening others through idleness.
Holy Spirit, make us disciplined, steady, and faithful. Let our labor point beyond us to Jesus, who gave all.

Poem — “Example of Work”
Paul labored daily.
Hands bore hardship.
Life showed Christ.
Witness stayed clear.
Jesus was seen.

Work reflected love.
Burden lifted off.
Integrity stayed firm.
Testimony rang true.
Christ was honored.

Discipline mattered.
Service spoke loud.
Labor exalted Him.
Work became worship.
Glory returned to Christ.
