…and not be in any need. (1 Thessalonians 4:12)
Dependence on Christ is not the same as dependency on others for laziness. God calls His people to labor so that their needs are met and His name is honored.
Exalting Jesus means trusting Him as Provider while working faithfully. He supplies through our hands and sustains by His grace.
- Christ provides through faithful labor.
- Laziness dishonors the Lord.
- Work keeps us from needless dependence.
- Contentment in Christ marks His people.
Prayer:
Lord Jesus, thank You for daily bread. Keep us from dishonoring You by idleness. Teach us to trust You as we labor faithfully.
Holy Spirit, guard us from pride and from laziness. Let us honor Christ by working and by resting in His provision.
Poem — “No Need”
Christ provides.
Hands labor.
Hearts trust.
Needs met.
God praised.
Idleness falls away.
Pride loses ground.
Faith grows strong.
Work honors Christ.
Provision glorifies Him.
No need remains.
Christ supplies all.
Grace sustains daily.
Love satisfies fully.
Jesus is enough.
