02/16 – Quietness in Work

Make it your ambition to lead a quiet life and attend to your own business and work with your hands, just as we instructed you. (1 Thessalonians 4:11)

Quietness shows in work as much as in worship. Christ dignified labor by His own hands as a carpenter. To live quietly is to handle our business with integrity and diligence.
Exalting Jesus means we do not chase noise or meddle in others. We live faithful, quiet, Christ-centered lives that honor Him in ordinary work.

  • Quiet lives show up in faithful work.
  • Christ dignified labor with His own hands.
  • Busyness is not holiness.
  • Integrity in the ordinary exalts Jesus.

Prayer:
Lord Jesus, thank You for teaching us to honor You in small tasks. Help us to live quietly, faithfully, and diligently. Let our work shine with Your presence.
Holy Spirit, deliver us from distraction. Keep us from meddling. Let us glorify Christ in the quiet faithfulness of our daily labor.

Poem — “Work in Quietness”
Hands steady in faith.
Hearts quiet in Christ.
Work done in love.
Integrity shown daily.
Jesus glorified always.

Labor is worship.
Ordinary is holy.
Service is sacred.
Quietness is strength.
Christ is exalted.

No noise required.
No applause needed.
No spotlight sought.
No pride allowed.
Only Jesus seen.
