02/10 – Love That Reflects Jesus

We love, because He first loved us. (1 John 4:19)

Our love is never self-originated. It begins and ends with Jesus. He loved first. He loved best. He loved fully. Every act of Christian love is an echo of His prior act at Calvary.
We do not love to earn God’s favor. We love because we already have it in Christ. To exalt Jesus is to reflect His initiating love. Our lives are mirrors, catching His light and casting it outward.

  • Love starts with Jesus, not us.
  • Every act of love is an echo of the cross.
  • To love is to prove Christ’s life within.
  • We cannot love apart from His love.

Prayer:
Lord Jesus, thank You that You loved us first. We did not seek You; You sought us. We did not deserve grace; You gave it freely. Teach us to mirror Your love in every relationship.
Holy Spirit, burn this truth into us. Let us love out of overflow, not effort. May our lives reflect the first love of Christ so that others see Him clearly.

Poem — “First Love”
Love begins with Jesus.
Love flows from His cross.
Love finds us lost.
Love calls us home.
Love makes us new.

We love because He loved.
We give because He gave.
We forgive because He forgave.
We serve because He served.
We endure because He endured.

Christ is first in love.
Christ is full in love.
Christ is final in love.
Christ is all in love.
Christ is love.
