But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control. (Galatians 5:22–23)
Love is not the product of willpower but the overflow of the Spirit. To walk in the Spirit is to bear the fruit of Christ. He lives His life through us, producing what we could never manufacture.
Jesus is the vine; we are the branches. Cut off, we wither. Abiding in Him, we flourish. Love is not something we add to our checklist—it is the evidence that Christ abides in us by His Spirit.
- Love is not manufactured; it is cultivated by the Spirit.
- Fruit reveals the root.
- Christ in us produces what we cannot.
- A Spirit-filled life is a Christ-loving life.
Prayer:
Lord Jesus, thank You that we are not left to ourselves. You did not command us to bear fruit apart from You. You gave us Your Spirit to live in us. Keep us close to You so that what grows in us is nothing less than Christ Himself.
Holy Spirit, prune what is false, water what is true, and let the fruit of love abound. May people taste Jesus in our lives and hunger for Him.
Poem — “Fruit of His Life”
Branches do not strain to grow.
They rest in the vine.
Life flows unseen.
Fruit appears in season.
Jesus is the source.
Spirit fills the heart.
Love spills over.
Joy sings quietly.
Peace holds steady.
Christ is displayed.
Fruit proves the root.
Christ in us is real.
Spirit in us is active.
Love in us is visible.
Glory goes to God.
