01/23 – A New Strength

Isaiah 40:31 (NASB)
“Yet those who wait for the Lord will gain new strength; they will mount up with wings like eagles, they will run and not get tired, they will walk and not become weary.”

Devotional Thought:
Waiting on God renews our strength. Gratitude rests in His power that lifts us above weariness.

Three Comments:

  1. Gratitude waits patiently for His renewal.
  2. God’s strength is greater than our weakness.
  3. Gratitude rejoices that He sustains us for the journey.

Poem – “Strength Renewed”
The wait was long,
The heart grew weak,
But God gave strength,
The wings rose high,
The hope was new.

The run did not tire,
The walk did not faint,
The way was sure,
The path was clear,
The Lord was near.

Gratitude rests in waiting,
Faith trusts His hand,
Hope sees His strength,
Peace follows His lead,
Joy sings His name.

Prayer:
Lord, thank You that those who wait on You renew their strength. Thank You that You lift the weary.
Help me to wait with gratitude for Your power. May my life be carried on the wings of Your strength.
