01/13 – A New Song of Deliverance

Psalm 40:3 (NASB)
“He put a new song in my mouth, a song of praise to our God; many will see and fear the Lord, and will trust in Him.”

Devotional Thought:
God delivers us from the pit and gives us a new song. Gratitude overflows in praise that points others to Him.

Three Comments:

  1. Gratitude sings because God saves.
  2. Our song of deliverance becomes a testimony to others.
  3. Gratitude turns pain into praise.

Poem – “The New Song”
The pit was deep,
The mire was heavy,
But God lifted me,
He set my feet,
He gave me a song.

The mouth was opened,
The praise was clear,
The world could see,
The Lord was feared,
The hearts were stirred.

Gratitude sings His name,
Faith tells His story,
Hope proclaims His deliverance,
Peace rests in His hand,
Joy praises forever.

Prayer:
Lord, thank You that You lifted me from the pit and gave me a new song. Thank You that my testimony can point others to You.
Help me to sing with gratitude every day. May my life be a song of deliverance that glorifies You.
