STUFF

Psalm 47:2 For the Lord most high is awesome. He is the great king of all the earth.

I don’t know many powerful people. The few that I have known face the same problems and difficulties that I face. They can’t see beyond life. But, my relationship with the Lord brings me into the presence of someone great. He listens, knows, helps and encourages. I am making time with Him a priority. It doesn’t change Him. It changes me.

STUFF

I like stuff, almost to the point of addiction
Gathering it together in great quantities
Looking at it, reading it, and working with it
Even spending a lot of time thinking about it.

Stuff is what folks focus their lives on everybody has some
Things to be coveted and valued and protected
It takes buildings to hold and money to keep
Always staying behind when one dies.

The Lord is different He is not stuff
But He wants my time, and focus and me
He is all and in all and really big
Awesome is one of His characteristics He is great.

Laws and principals come from Him
He gives wisdom to those that seek Him
To each one of us He beckons
Come here I’ll help you live.

I’ll be with each one of you, every place you go
I’ll change your woes to gifts
Walk with me and I will guide your way
Talk with me and I will brighten each day.

I want you to know that all I’ve said is true
Stuff too often takes over my life
But Christ is King even when I fail
He will never let me go.
