ONLY A BOY

Only a boy in the midst of life
Hurting people come to me
Jesus is King and Lord
He says tell them they can be free.

A battle for the mind of all
Is raging out of sight
Groups of great deplore the faith
Christ sings of love for you and me.

I want to be a useful child
I'm like a babe of five
I need you Lord and thank you
Give me strength to love.

Every day keeps rolling by
Spiritual things obscured
I could never work for God
Unless Christ leads the way.
