I Wanna Be Like You

I want to be like you, above the fray
Always cool and crisp
Easily dealing with the pain
Life so carelessly brings

Until I knew you, what you did
Hurting, lonely, like a kid
No longer do I envy you
You are on my prayer list

Amazingly we are both alike
Ours worlds are painful
The days are never ending
Show your face and ease the pain

Oh the people we know, the places we go
They aren’t alike
Other things are just the same
No one has an easy life.
