Everyday is new

Everyday is new
Life paints wishes high
I am but a product
Of life’s passing cry.

Wanting often things I see
Not caring what the cost
And yet the things that please me
Are often close at hand.

The air I breathe comes easily
Not a lot of thought
People that you’ve blessed me with
Just want my ear to talk.

I know that I am growing old
What once was great is gone
But all the best encourages me
Because it lasts for life.
