Walking, hurting, tender souls
Searching out a straight path
Tired of being lonely, poor and hungry
Come and help me.

Weak from loss
Confused by failure
Holding up a solid front
So that you can’t see me.

Little things mean a lot
But I have nothing at all
Encourage me amidst the pain
I want to be useful and sane.

Take away the evil days
Pull me near to you
Help me see the right path
Guide me on its way.
