Deep beneath the Hurt

Deep beneath the hurt of life
Friends help make things new
Silent suffering salved by care
I count, I’m not alone.

Often times it’s not the words
Knowing that one cares
For life is but a veil of tears
But friendship lasts a life.

Shown by Christ with His deep love
I have a friend that’s true
He does for me what I can’t do
Relieves the stain of sin.
And takes me to the Father
Now I can be a friend.
