Today's Good News

MARCH 15 – SIN

03/15          Psalm 51:7

7 Purify me from my sins, and I will be clean; wash me, and I will be whiter than snow.

SIN

Only Jesus can solve my sin problem.  Jesus will cleanse me whiter than snow.  He will wash away all my sin.  He will equip me to stand in the hour of temptation.  He is the Lord of my life and the solution to my sin problem.

MARCH 14 – SUCCESS

03/14          Psalm 40:1

1 I waited patiently for the LORD to help me, and he turned to me and heard my cry.

SUCCESS

The Lord God is my Lord.  He listens to me.  He makes me to see Him.  He equips me to hear.  Lord thank you for my salvation.  Thank you for waking me up this morning.  Blessed be the name of the Lord.

MARCH 13 – FOCUS

03/13          Psalm 42:11

11 Why am I discouraged? Why is my heart so sad? I will put my hope in God! I will praise him again— my Savior and my God!

FOCUS

Lord help me take my eyes off the world and place them body, soul and spirit upon you.  Remind me of your desperate love for me-you paid the price of my sin.  You are my Savior.  You are my God.

MARCH 12 – DESPERATE

03/12          Psalm 51:1

1 Have mercy on me, O God, because of your unfailing love. Because of your great compassion, blot out the stain of my sins.

DESPERATE

Lord I am desperate to change.  Blot out the stain of my sins.  Help me to focus my mind, heart and total being on you.  Open my eyes to see you and my ears to hear you.

MARCH 11 – WHO

03/11          Hebrews 13:2-3

2 Don’t forget to show hospitality to strangers, for some who have done this have entertained angels without realizing it!  3Remember those in prison, as if you were there yourself. Remember also those being mistreated, as if you felt their pain in your own bodies.

WHO

Who have you entertained?  Did you mistreat an angel of the Lord?  Remember the needy, those hurting, those in prison and the haters.  Care for them as though you were caring for Jesus.  We are His hands and feet and often His mouthpiece.  Be careful what you say.

MARCH 10 – FAMILY

03/10          Hebrews 13:1

1 Keep on loving each other as brothers and sisters.

FAMILY

We are members of the family of God.  As such we are called to a different lifestyle than the world.  Remember who you belong to and live as a child of the king.  Look around you.  Everyone you know who is a Christian is your brother or sister in Christ.  Treat them like your beloved family because they are.

MARCH 9 – STRIP

03/09          Hebrews 12:1-2

1 Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a huge crowd of witnesses to the life of faith, let us strip off every weight that slows us down, especially the sin that so easily trips us up. And let us run with endurance the race God has set before us. 2 We do this by keeping our eyes on Jesus, the champion who initiates and perfects our faith. Because of the joy awaiting him, he endured the cross, disregarding its shame. Now he is seated in the place of honor beside God’s throne.

STRIP

The Word calls us to strip off our sin.  Think about that.  You stop doing what you have always done and by faith do now what the Lord calls you to do.  Forget about the past.  Live in the present and follow the Lord.  When the evil one comes calling remind him that Jesus is Lord, and that the Father rebukes him.  Remind him that you belong to Jesus.

MARCH 8 – FAITH

03/08          Hebrews 11:1

1 Faith is the confidence that what we hope for will actually happen; it gives us assurance about things we cannot see.

FAITH

It is the activity of Jesus in your life changing you from a worldly lost sinner to a productive member of the family of God.  By faith you become usable and useful.  By faith you lay aside the things of this world and pick the things of God.  By faith we become what we know in our heart we can be-more life Jesus each day.

MARCH 7 – NEEDS

03/07          Philippians 4:19

19 And this same God who takes care of me will supply all your needs from his glorious riches, which have been given to us in Christ Jesus.

NEEDS

What are your needs?  Place them before Jesus and He will respond.  Your great need is deliverance from the sinful practices that you have let slip into your habits.  Cultivate holiness.  Set that need before Jesus and He will do it.  Let Jesus change you from what you are today to what He wants you to be, the kind of person that is usable and useful in the kingdom of God.

MARCH 6 – ALL

03/06 Philippians 4:13

13 For I can do everything through Christ, who gives me strength.

ALL

You can do all things through Christ.  The key is do you want to?  Be mindful that Jesus is there with you.  He knows you better than you know yourself.  Trust Him and let Him have control of your mind and heart and then your mouth, hands and feet.  Jesus can help you recover from sin but you have to let Him.
